About the Experience
Welcome to the Clay Pooper Plate-Making DIY Experience, where you get to create your own ceramic plate from scratch in any shape you like — round, square, wiggly, wonky, or completely freeform! In this fun and beginner-friendly session, you’ll use our Clay Pooper (our clay extruding machine that “poops” out clay in a noodle-like shape) to create the outline of your plate, then dispense liquid clay from our Clay-On-Tap system to fill the centre and form your plate. Once your plate has set, you’ll paint and decorate it with underglaze before we fire it in our kiln.

This experience lets you enjoy both making with clay and painting pottery in one session, giving you a little taste of pottery painting too! It’s the perfect way to make your own quirky breakfast plate, favourite pasta plate, jewellery dish, trinket dish, catch-all tray, or cute little plate for everyday snacks. You’ll be shaping your plate within a 30cm x 30cm base, and you may create one large plate or multiple smaller plates within that base area.

When you book 1 seat, the price includes:
– 1x 20cm x 30cm plate-making base area (You may create one larger plate or 2x smaller plates within the same base area.)
– Use of our Clay Pooper (our clay extruding machine that “poops” out clay in a noodle-like shape)
– Use of our Clay-On-Tap system (our liquid clay dispensing machine that dispenses clay slip directly into your plate outline)
– Clay noodle to create your plate outline
– Clay slip to fill and form your plate
– All basic tools and materials needed for shaping, casting, and painting
– Unlimited underglazes for painting your ceramic plate
– Basic painting tools such as brushes, pencils, tape, and necessary stationery
– 1x complimentary drink from our cafe menu, redeemable during your session
– Firing and handling services
– Final kiln firing to turn your piece into a finished ceramic plate

Add-ons during your session:
If you’d like to make more plates beyond your included 20cm x 30cm base area, you may add on additional plate-making bases during your session, subject to clay, space, and time availability.
– Add-on plate-making base:  RM 70 per additional 20cm x 30cm base area
Includes plate-making + painting. You may create one larger plate or 2x smaller plates within the same 20cm x 30cm base.

Add-on 3D pottery decorating: RM 50 per 20cm x 30cm base area
This allows you to add 3D pottery decorations to any plate(s) made within that base. For example, if you make 1 plate within 1 base, the 3D decorating add-on is RM 50. If you make 3 smaller plates within the same base, the 3D decorating add-on is still RM 50, as it is charged by base area.

What’s not included:
– Additional plates or plate-making bases are not included in the base booking fee and are available as optional add-ons at RM 50 each.
– 3D pottery decorative add-ons are not included in the base booking fee and are available at RM 50 per piece.
– Add-ons are optional and subject to availability on the day of your session.

What’s so fun about it?
This is plate-making, but with a very unserious little machine. Instead of starting with a fixed plate shape, you’ll use our Clay Pooper to extrude clay into a soft noodle-like line, then shape that clay noodle into the outline of your plate. Want a wiggly breakfast plate for your morning toast? A wonky pasta plate? A tiny jewellery dish? A trinket tray for your keys and rings? A few mini plates for snacks and sauces? You decide.

Each booking gives you a 20cm x 30cm base area to work within, so you can choose to make one bigger statement plate or shape 2x smaller plates inside the same base. Once your outline is ready, you’ll use our Clay-On-Tap system to fill the inside with liquid clay. After it sets, you’ll paint your plate and make it completely your own. This experience lets you enjoy both making with clay and painting pottery in one session, giving you a little taste of pottery painting too! It’s perfect for anyone who wants the joy of making pottery from scratch, but in a fun, easy, and low-pressure way.

Time limit
To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, there is a time limit of 2 hours for this DIY experience. We kindly ask all guests to arrive on time for their booking, as all sessions are run on a fixed time slot basis.

If you arrive late, your session time will still end according to your original booking slot. In cases where your delayed arrival causes an overlap with the next booking, we may need to ask you to leave at the end of your allocated slot and reschedule for another session to continue, so that it is fair to the next customers. Our last call is 5:00 PM, and all last sessions of the day are scheduled to end by or before 7:00 PM (our closing time). Guests who arrive late after 5:00 PM will still need to finish up before 7:00 PM or reschedule for another session to continue.

Thank you for helping us make this a fun, smooth, and fair experience for everyone!
